Researchers at the University of California in 2012 reviewed the diets of 1000 Americans and found that those who ate dark chocolate a few times a week were on average slimmer than those who seldom ate it. They felt that some of the ingredients in the dark chocolate, despite being high in calories may contribute to weight loss.
